Ofcom revokes TV licences of Overseas Friends of BJP (UK) president

UK's Ofcom has revoked broadcasting licences for MATV National and MATV Music, held by Middlesex Broadcasting Corporation Limited. The regulator determined that MATV Broadcasting Ltd, where Kuldeep Shekhawat is a director, exercised editorial control, not the licence holder. Ofcom cited Shekhawat's role as president of Overseas Friends of BJP (UK) as a potential disqualification due to political affiliations.
